Introduction & Core Philosophy
Welcome to the official Privacy Policy for QR Hub : Ultimate QR & Barcode Studio (Application ID: com.qr.hub), developed and published by Krishna Tech Hub.
QR codes and barcodes frequently encapsulate sensitive data: Wi-Fi passwords, private contact vCards, cryptographic payment hashes (UPI / SEPA), inventory SKU data, and personal URLs. At Krishna Tech Hub, our philosophy is absolute client-side data sovereignty: QR Hub operates as a self-contained scanning and creation studio that processes all computer vision calculations on your local device hardware without uploading scan payloads to remote servers.
When you point your camera at a barcode, the raw image frame is analyzed in device RAM and instantly discarded. We do not store, stream, or transmit your camera feed or decoded barcodes to our servers.
Real-Time Google ML Kit Vision Architecture
QR Hub is engineered for high-performance 120 FPS barcode scanning using Google ML Kitβs Barcode Scanning API:
-
Real-Time Frame Processing: Camera preview frames are supplied directly to ML Kitβs on-device neural network model inside volatile RAM.
-
Zero Video/Photo Recording: The application does not take silent pictures, does not record video streams, and does not save any visual frames to disk while scanning.
-
Immediate Extraction: As soon as the barcode pattern is recognized, ML Kit outputs the raw text payload, and the underlying camera frame is instantly released from memory.
Android Permissions & Technical Rationale
QR Hub requests strictly necessary permissions required for barcode interaction:
Zero Content Telemetry Disclosures
In accordance with Google Play Console Data Safety requirements, we confirm the following data safety status:
| Data Category | Collected by QR Hub? | Shared with Remote Servers? | Storage Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scanned Barcode Payloads (URLs, Text, Wi-Fi keys) | π« NO | π« NO | Local SQLite Room Database only |
| Created QR Art & Templates | π« NO | π« NO | Local device storage only |
| Camera Video / Raw Frames | π« NO | π« NO | Ephemeral RAM buffer (discarded instantly) |
| Personal Identity (Name, Phone, Email) | π« NO | π« NO | Never prompted or collected |
| Precise Location Data (GPS) | π« NO | π« NO | Never accessed |
Local SQLite Room Database & Total User Control
All scan history records, favorite items, and generated templates are kept on your physical device:
-
No Cloud Synching or Tracking: Your history is not synchronized to remote cloud accounts. You can use the app seamlessly in airplane mode.
-
CSV / JSON Export: You can export your scan history to a clean spreadsheet CSV file at any time for backup or inventory management.
-
Instant History Wipe: A single tap in Settings → Clear Scan History immediately drops and wipes the local SQLite tables with zero residual records.
Google AdMob & Advertising Compliance
To keep QR Hub free for all users worldwide without paid paywalls, the application integrates Google AdMob (Google LLC):
AdMob operates in an isolated SDK environment. AdMob has zero programmatic access to your camera feed, scanned barcodes, Wi-Fi credentials, or custom generated QR codes.
Google AdMob may collect pseudonymous device technical information (Android Advertising ID, coarse geographic location derived from IP, device brand/model) to serve relevant ads and prevent click fraud.
Publisher verification is maintained via our official crawler registry:
google.com, pub-5378252094188023, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0 (available at /app-ads.txt).

Device-Level Security & Data Deletion
QR Hub relies on Android operating system application sandboxing:
• Encrypted Storage: Data is written to hardware-backed internal flash memory protected by Android's filesystem encryption.
• No Server Attack Surface: We do not host user accounts or cloud storage, eliminating the risk of external database hacks.
• Uninstall Cleanup: Uninstalling QR Hub automatically deletes the application binary and its local SQLite database.
Children's Privacy Protection (COPPA)
QR Hub is a general productivity tool suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Because the application requires no user account, registration, or profile setup, children can safely scan and generate barcodes without privacy risk.
Global Privacy Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Users in the European Economic Area (under GDPR), California (under CCPA/CPRA), and other jurisdictions have the right to access, export, and delete their data:
Because all scan records are maintained on your local smartphone, you can fulfill all data access and deletion requests directly through the app without submitting requests to any external entity.
